Ash Naylor, Dave Graney, Dan Kelly play the Richmond Theatrette

Yarra City Arts is delighted to announce that live music will return to the Richmond Theatrette this January.

This specially curated short season of gigs will feature the following artists:

Friday 22                Mark Lang (Skipping Girl Vinegar)

Mark Lang is best known as the lead singer of much-loved local band, Skipping Girl Vinegar. The Richmond Theatrette is delighted to present Mark Lang, playing a very special and intimate solo acoustic show on Friday 22 January at 8:00pm. Special guest for this special show will be The King of Things.

Saturday 23           Dave Graney trio

ARIA Award winner, musician, author and broadcaster, Dave Graney, plays a special intimate show at Richmond Theatrette accompanied by long-time collaborator Clare Moore and band mate Stu Thomas. Having reformed his beloved Coral Snakes for a series of sell out shows in 2015 he strips it back in trio mode playing songs from his 38 year career. This will be one of the final chances to see Dave before his and current band The MistLY tour Europe.

Sunday 24             Ashley Naylor & Nick Batterham

Ashley Naylor – lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for local indie rock legends, EVEN, as well as lead guitarist for Paul Kelly and RocKwiz Orkestra regular, plays a rare solo show at the intimate Richmond Theatrette. Following on from the release of his fifth solo album in late 2015, Nick Batterham returns to the Richmond Theatrette following his amazing appearances at the Leaps and Bounds Festival in July 2015.

Monday 25            Dan Kelly Video Launch

Dan Kelly released one of the finest albums of 2015 with Leisure Panic. The Richmond Theatrette is delighted to announce that Dan and his full band will be launching the video for the second single from the album called ‘Everything’s Amazing’. A further treat for fans is that Dan and his band will be playing the Leisure Panic album in its entirety, which makes this a show not to be missed. Book early, as this show is limited to 150 tickets only, and will surely sell out.

The Richmond Theatrette is a small proscenium arch, black box situated above the Richmond Library near the corner of Church and Swan Streets in Richmond.
